Jahorina is easily accessible via two routes. The Sarajevo-Pale road is a 20 minute drive and from Pale the ride to the top takes another 20 minutes.


Alternatively, from the airport you travel southeast before taking a left towards Lukavica. This road climbs, winds and meanders all the way to Jahorina via Trebevic Mountain, overlooking the city of Sarajevo. It is one road all the way up and very straight forward once you start the climb.

The Trebevic road is considerably longer than the Pale route. During the winter months it could take an hour to reach Jahorina. However, it is by far the most attractive road, with stunning views of the city.

By bus

Bus Sarajevo - Jahorina leaves from Sarajevo Bus Station at 09:00 and 13:00 (bus stations: National Museum, Town Hall) and leaves from Jahorina at 11:00 and 15:30. Return ticket cost 09.00 KM.

There is a bus line from Pale to Jahorina every day at: 06:20; 14:00 and 19:00.
