

Museum and
Gallery of Neum
established in 2007 is housed
inside the Church (Crkva Gospe
od zdravlja). It has
archaeological and ethnographic
exhibitions, Illyrian and Greek
helmets, fibulae, and
decorative ceramics from the 5th
century BC found at Vidica
guvno site as the most significant
ones.
The gallery has over 400 art works
made in different
techniques by artists from Bosnia
and Herzegovina and
Croatia. Most of the works are
paintings made during the Art
Colony, an event held in Neum each
year for the past decade.

In the hinterland behind Neum
is the village of Hutovo
and the ancient ruins of
Hadzibegova kula (Fortress),
used by the Ottomans to defend
their western front. Here you
can also visit the Zavicajna
spomen kuca with the genuine furniture and artifacts of the Herzegovina
region used in the past. It is an ethnographic display of
the Hutovo region. Visit by appointment only (phone: +
