Franciscan
Monastery at Humac is the oldest museum in Bosnia and
Herzegovina, it has been operating since 1884. It is
comprised of archaeological artefacts from the Herzegovina
region.
The Museum is located in the cellar of the Monastery.
The Gallery (also known as the gallery “Mother”)
contains over 400 art works. This collection is very
interesting and all the artists are focused on portraying
the Virgin Mary. All information about the Museum and the

Franciscan Gallery Siroki Brijeg was established in
1990 and has over 1,500 art works, old paintings (from 17th
and 19th century), classical art works of Croat artists and
contemporary paintings and sculptures. There are several
collections: paintings, books, religious attire, metal
artefacts. The gallery is located in Siroki Brijeg within
the Monastery of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
