Neum is the ideal place for fine Dalmatian and Herzegovina cuisine. The fish and shellfish dishes of Neum match those of the rest of Dalmatia and offer wines from both Herzegovina and Dalmatia.

Dining in Neum will always be a slight bit less expensive than Croatia but one gets the same quality seafood. There are also plenty of choices for less expensive Italian meals and pizza places. Traditional restaurants offer excellent menu’s of Herzegovina meals including; sarma, begova corba (chicken stew), teletina (veal), filled peppers, sitni cevap (veal stew), and grilled lamb and pork just to name a few. Both the traditional and Dalmatian restaurants specialize in fresh and saltwater fish dishes. The local trout, pastrmka, is always a good buy. Do try a tasty platter of Herzegovina cheese (livanksi, iz mijeha, kozija), proscutto with some fine red wines from the region.
Service in Neum is good and tipping is normal, but not required. An average sit down meal with drinks generally ranges from 6-12 euros.
