The growing
infrastructure on Jahorina Mountain offers a wide range of good
accommodation. The last few years has seen many new objects built to
accommodate the increase in tourists.
Most hotels and/or pansions are
smaller and have a more intimate feel to them. Jahorina has a good
variety of hotels and pansions to choose from. ‘Pansions’ usually range
from 15-50 euros per night. Hotels generally run from 35 – 70 euros per
night with breakfast included. Most places include sat tv, AC, and mini-
bar. The more expensive hotels, 4-5 star, will range from 75-125 euros
per night and offer all of the luxuries of western facilities.
Many of the older hotels from the socialist era have been
renovated and often offer high quality accommodation or on the other hand
a cheaper alternative to the more costly modern facilities. The
smaller pansions or B&B’s have a nice family touch to them. One can often
have nice experiences with the family themselves, drinking coffee or wine
on the terrace with them. Local B&B owners are usually quite friendly and
will go out of their way to help you on your trip. One can also rent log
cabins for up to 10 people that usually run about 10 euros per night per
person.
All of the accommodation on Jahorina is well positioned for skiers and
are in the vicinity of a lift.
Recently new ski lifts have been added to Jahorina
(6-seater), and the mountain will soon have a snowmaking
gun.
