Zavidovici is located 15km east of the main road from Zenica to Doboj. The turn-off is through the town of Zepce.



On the outskirts of town to the east is the beautiful valley of Krivaja River. The long valley stretches all the way to Olovo. The Krivaja and Gostovic valleys are wonderful fishing spots and have several long runs of rapids for kayaking. There is a mountain lodge on the highest point in the area, Tajan, about 32km from town.

One of the strangest mysteries in archaeology are stone spheres (dating back to 20.000 BC) found at eleven different locations in or near Zavidovici. They were only seen to exist in Mexico and Costa Rica so far. Grab Village is the best to go visit the spheres as there are over 20 of them in the village. Other important sites are nested near the Krivaja River and are known as Kamenica and Maoca outdoor spots.
